Lovingly known as our baby whisperer, Shiv is the calm presence behind every photoshoot. He leads each session with patience and care, curates the themes you see in our work, and—when babies are fast asleep—handles our marketing and advertising too, drawing on his background in the advertising world.

Petrina is the engine that keeps everything running smoothly—handling sales, bookings, and all things administrative with our team. When she’s not managing Cherubfoto, she’s a full-time mum and the undisputed CEO of the house, expertly juggling schedules, smiles, and just about everything else.

Fact 3

Shiv has always had a deep love for the arts. Since drawing was clearly not his calling (two cents would’ve been generous), he found his creative voice through photography instead. He began his journey as a junior wedding photographer during his university days, before eventually finding his true niche in newborn photography—an evolution inspired by becoming a parent himself.

While Shiv was… still figuring things out, Petrina was a natural. Somewhere between night feeds and learning curves, his appreciation for tiny details, patience, and gentle storytelling grew—leading him right here.

Fact 4

Cherubfoto has come a long way. We began in 2018 as a humble home-based studio, then graduated to a very tiny studio tucked away in a secluded industrial area—one that required navigating what felt like a maze to find (thank you for trusting us!). From there, we moved into a fully equipped loft studio during Covid, and today, we’re proud to welcome you into our cosy boutique studio.

It’s been quite the journey to get here, and we truly wouldn’t be who we are today without the love, support, and loyalty of our wonderful clients—every step, every move, and every milestone made possible because of you.
